UK house prices have grown at the slowest rate in five years in June, with London remaining the weakest spot as strained household finances and economic uncertainty kept buyers away says Nationwide Building Society property market report
Nationwide market report says UK house prices rose by 2% in the past year, it said, with prices slightly higher in June than in May. The month-on-month rise was 0.5%, making the average home worth £215,444.
A belated Happy New Year from us here at PropertyHants.com, we hope you enjoyed the festive season and are looking forward to 2018.
According to the pundits the property market is expected to be active for 2018, with potential small growth in prices outside of London. Hampshire should remain a very popular area or buyers, because of its excellent transport links and beautiful countryside, who wouldn’t want to live in Hampshire?
Here at PropertyHants we will keep the auctions page updated and want to improve the Estate Agents page, we will keep the Top Hants Estate Agents List, under review, we stopped updating it last June as, we were having problems with messages/tweets getting through to players and had seen engagement drop dramatically, we think this was because we were falling foul of Twitter automation rules. We also want to add a page on Homebuy, Shared Ownership and other government schemes available to help buyers.
We would also be pleased to share any relevant guest blogs and will continue to share to our Facebook Page and Twitter account
Here is this weeks Top Hants Estate Agents on Social Media leaderboard for the week ending the 17th April 2017. our leaderboard is based on social media engagement by agents for the week, measured by Klout.com
This week saw little movement in the top 5 agents, with Sansome & George, Pearsons, Anna Collier in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places again, Fells New Forest upto 4th and Walker and Waterer down into 5th place.
We have introduced a new hashtag for our Top Hants Estate Agents on Social Media Leaderboard – #HantsEA100 which we will be using for the first time this week. We wanted to be able to identify social media posts about the Leaderboard easily and also monitor some issues with notifications not getting through on twitter to agents, so this seemed the perfect time to introduce a hashtag for the leaderboard.
We will continue to use the hashtag #PropertyHants to promote all things property in Hampshire on social media
The Sunday Times ‘Home’ section ran a feature this weekend on ‘Homes languishing on the market’ which included this delightful house for sale in Weston Patrick, Basingstoke Hampshire, see the article below.
The issue of a lower ceiling in the kitchen has put off some buyers and the owners have been advised by ‘Home’ to get some plans drawn up for lowering the floor, to help any buyers who don’t expect low ceiling beams in a cottage. Hopefully the coverage in the Sunday Times will generate some interest. Contact selling agents Charters here
